Working draft; will be finalised by counsel before general availability.
Intended purpose
SafeSignal exists to help employees safely raise workplace concerns and to help organisations respond fairly. Use it only for this purpose.
You must not
- Submit knowingly false or malicious reports.
- Use SafeSignal to threaten, defame, harass, or dox any individual.
- Upload malware, illegal content, or content you do not have the right to share.
- Attempt to deanonymise other reporters, or use reports to retaliate.
- Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or organisation boundaries.
- Use scraped or automated tooling to bulk-submit reports or messages.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the platform's security.
Administrator responsibilities
- Only invite staff with a legitimate need to review reports.
- Do not attempt to identify reporters beyond what they voluntarily disclose.
- Handle reports in line with your organisation's grievance and non-retaliation policies.
- Keep authentication credentials secure; do not share accounts.
Anti-retaliation
Retaliation against a reporter is a serious violation of these terms and, in many jurisdictions, of law. Using SafeSignal to identify or punish a reporter is expressly prohibited.
Enforcement
Violations may result in suspension or termination of access. Illegal activity may be reported to appropriate authorities.
